THE WHITE COCKADE HAS CLOSED -
Sadly, the White Cockade closed it's doors for good (or until someone buys and reopens the pub) on Dec. 31st, 2006. Sessions are obviously canceled indefinitely.
It's a shame. This was a great Scottish-themed pub with great atmosphere and a great rural mountain location. Unfortunately its location, on a winding forest highway 4 or so miles outside of the closest town, really worked against it and business was apparently tough.
So, a big thank you to John & Nancy Johnsen for the support of good food, good beer, and of course, good music! May you go on to open another pub in a place where business is better. You'll be missed.

2006 Dec 31 - Today was the last day of the White Cockade. It has closed it's doors for good. No more sessions. We'll sadly miss The White Cockade and John, for supporting good food, good atmousphere, good beer, and of course, good music.
2006 July 2 - Sessions are still happening occassionally, but for the moment, I'm on hiatus ... please call John at the pub for confirmation. Thanks!
2006 May 12 - Please note that the 3rd Sunday session, May 21st, has been CANCELLED, due to The White Cockade being rented out for a private function. See you in June!
2006 Mar 27 - I'll be out of town for both April sessions, so I'm leaving it upon all of you to rally each other up to get there. ;-)

2006 Feb 6 - The next session will be Sunday, February 19th. I will be out of town that weekend and so, of course, I won't be able to attend. Hopefully, we'll still have a good turnout.
